Dolk many years ago was thought to be an alternative pseudonym for Banksy’s less adventurous artwork. This soon became clear to be nothing more than speculation with Dolk’s artwork becoming ever more distinguishable . As well as painting his work on walls on cities throughout the world, he has taken to covering abandoned houses in Norway with giant versions of his intricate humorous stencils, and inside of one of Norway's prisons.
